At A Pediatric Evolution (APE), we provide occupational therapy support in the following areas:

Our occupational therapy services support a wide range of developmental needs through play-based, child-centered approaches. We focus on building skills for daily routines, regulation, movement, and independence, while helping each child participate more independently in home, school, and community environments.

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
We support children in developing independence with daily routines such as dressing, toileting, bathing, and grooming. Therapy focuses on building skills, confidence, and participation in everyday activities.

Fine Motor Skills (FM)
We help children strengthen hand and finger skills needed for tasks such as writing, cutting, buttoning, and manipulating small objects.

Sensory Processing and Regulation (SP)
We support children in understanding and responding to sensory input in a way that supports regulation and engagement. Therapy focuses on helping children participate more comfortably in daily routines and environments.

Feeding and Oral Motor Skills
We support children with feeding challenges, including picky eating, limited food variety, and difficulty with textures. Therapy also addresses oral motor skills, including how the tongue, jaw, lips, and cheeks work together for chewing, swallowing, and managing food safely. Treatment focuses on building coordination, strength, sensory tolerance, and positive experiences with food.

Motor Planning and Coordination
We help children improve their ability to plan, sequence, and carry out movements needed for play and daily activities.

Visual Motor and Visual Perceptual Skills (VM)
We support children in integrating visual information with motor output, including skills needed for handwriting, drawing, puzzles, and spatial awareness.

Self-Care and Routine Participation
We support children in participating in routines such as mealtime, bedtime, and transitions. Therapy focuses on making routines more manageable and functional for both the child and family.

Emotional Regulation and Attention
We help children develop strategies to support attention, regulation, and engagement across tasks and environments.
